Dizzy Gillespie is probably the greatest Jazz BeBop Trumpet player whom ever lived. Take note of his dazzling trumpet solo on The Champ - my personal Dizzy favorite, and in my opinion, one of the greatest jazz trumpet solos ever played. Dizzy Gillespie was one of our most influential jazz musical geniuses, inventing many new styles and sounds, particularly with his many Cuban and Latin flavors.

One of the cool things about Dizzy is that he broke the laws of physics by playing with his cheeks puffed out - something trumpet instructors tell young students they should never do! He also became known for his unusual trumpets, with the bell pointing towards the cieling.
