I call Freddie Hubbard the perfect Jazz Trumpet player because he had all the tools: The ear, mind, creativity, plus all the other physical trumpet play tools: technique, fingering and a big, fat sound with just a little bit of velvet smoke. Sadly, Freddie Hubbard left us most recently in late December, 2008. Fortunately, he left us with countless great recordings like these. Make sure you scroll down to see and hear them all.
