Features: Reissue of the Martin Committee, revived by the Martin family that founded The Martin Band Instrument Company (Elkhart, Indiana, 1852); now trading as The Martin Brasswind Co. of Muskegon, Michigan. Bore stated only as Martin's own gauge "#3" - no decimal published. Martin continuous tapered mouth pipe; 2 side-mount water keys; hand-lapped, top-sprung pistons; Martin main braces. Handmade to order, 6-8 weeks. Ships with a soft-sided Protec case and a Gustat #2 mouthpiece (a replica of the one Miles Davis used). Offered in clear lacquer ($4,287.99) or silver plate ($4,519.00), with optional floral engraving; the lacquer price is recorded as the "from" price. Martin's own copy names Chet Baker, Roy Eldridge, Claude Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Wallace Roney and Chris Botti as Committee players - all of them on vintage Committees, not on this current reissue.
